Diagnostic Timeline guide

Use Diagnostic Timeline to review UDS, DTC, and negative-response events in time order for a processed log.

What it provides

  • Protocol event strip showing where diagnostic events occur in the log timeline.
  • Detailed event table for diagnostic message, negative-response, and DTC markers.
  • Direct navigation back to DTC Review and Log Analysis Viewer with the same project/log context.

How to use it

  1. 1. Inspect diagnostic events in time order, including UDS requests, responses, negative responses, and DTC observations.
  2. 2. Select the project and processed diagnostic log.
  3. 3. Scan the event strip for clustered responses, DTC markers, and high-severity points.
  4. 4. Open the viewer or DTC Review when an event needs deeper analysis.

Outcome: Engineers can explain when diagnostic conditions occurred and connect them to source evidence.
